Expanding the reach of Digital Borderlands Classroom Integrations, the project team will compile a born-digital Digital Borderlands Anthology, an open educational resource documenting successful course integrations from the Faculty Fellowship program. Beginning with an introductory essay from the project team, the Digital Borderlands Anthology will comprise 10-15 chapters, each highlighting a digital borderlands assignment or activity. The project team, in collaboration with the Digital Borderlands Faculty Review Board and open educational specialists, will select and invite contributions from Faculty Fellows that best exemplify the goals of the Digital Borderlands project.
The Digital Borderlands Anthology will highlight Digital Borderlands-related assignments to inspire reuse at other institutions. An English-language and a Spanish-language version of the anthology will be digitally published as an open educational resource (OER) using the Pressbooks platform through the UA Open Textbooks initiative. The anthology will be packaged and disseminated with a set of downloadable print-friendly file formats and conclude with a Digital Borderlands symposium that promotes the project’s accomplishments and impacts.
The one-day Digital Borderlands symposium is expected to correspond with the launch of the Digital Borderlands Anthology and will bring together scholars from across the country.
